      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve been working on a data logging setup that consists of a pair of O2 sensors, a vacuum sensor (MAP), and a tachometer.  I&#039;m able to get them all to work together, but having trouble with a stable tach signal.  The mfg recommends wiring in a 100k ohm potentiometer to attenuate the &quot;ringing&quot; in the tach signal coming off of the negative pole of the ignition coil.  The process is to adjust the pot until the signal stabilizes.  I can do this, but the band of resistance is extremely...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Dad, many years back, said to always use Moog for ball joints, tie rod ends, and the like. I replaced all the ball joints in my 2002 Ranger back in 2019. <br />

Now while in the shop having the A/C recharged, the shop tells me the boots have come apart on the upper ball joints and ought soon to be replaced. I was surprised to hear this and said I&#039;d replaced those just a few years back with Moog units. <br />

Same guy tells me that Moog quality has deteriorated and NAPA Gold was now the brand to use....<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The A/C in my 2002 Ranger, 3.0L, is working for short periods either cooling fine or not blowing air out the vents. I would assume the evaporator is freezing up and the system needs freon.<br />

I put my gauge set on the system and read 100 psi on both the low and high pressure sides and, hence, cannot add freon. <br />
<br />

1. Had all the shocks replaced. Several components replaced to the front end, steering arms, if I am correctly calling them, as well. This car sways like a ship at sea over 45 mph, and tends to yaw and pitch markedly...<br />
