I evacuated the system with my good vacuum pump and the system did maintain the vacuum for at least an hour - a good sign.<br />

Body 97D, Colour is blank, Trim UW, Trans X, Axle 6 and then the DSO number 716479<br />
Its original and orange in colour (not a Ford orange) , has a white interior with black appointments.<br />
This Ranchero was a special‑order vehicle, its paint and interior were not standard catalog options.<br />

So i changed out the carb to a brawler 650,  it cold started the best i ever had, it was quicker and was so much better...for about an hour and a half... it stalled while i was on the road, lost all power, and just after the stall when you would turn the key the carb would cough loudly, then die. Surprisingly simple to do (unless you&#039;re an old guy like me that doesn&#039;t bend as easily as I used to.....).       <content:encoded><![CDATA[So as I&#039;ve been putting the miles on my &#039;63 since the recent motor swap, I&#039;ve discovered that it really dislikes sitting in traffic.<br />
Driving around the coolant temperature rarely gets over 170°, but get into some busy stop and go traffic and it starts getting hot.<br />
Would having a radiator shroud help when the car isn&#039;t moving much?<br />
Did Falcons with V8&#039;S have shrouds?<br />
