Well its cold outside and in my shop [no heat] so I decided to convert my speedometer to digital because I can do it inside.<br />
I disassembled the unit and since the paint was worn away over most of it I stripped the rest off.<br />
Took out all the insides and bagged everything up.<br />
I ordered the Summit 5 gauge kit. <br />
Right now I am deciding exactly how to mount it, I will have to drill a new hole in the back of the housing for the wires to run though. You can use the factory holes but it makes it...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have decided to install a 2012 or newer 6R80 6 speed in my 428 ci 63 Galaxie. I know it is not a Ranchero but anybody with a FE engine might be interested in this swap. <br />
I researched a upgrade over my C-6 because I need the low rear gear and still wanted some decent mileage on the high way.<br />
After searching for over a year I think the 6R80 is the right choice for me as they are running behind twin turbo&#039;s at 1425 HP with the stock tran&#039;s.<br />
I will have all my machine work done in December and...<br />

Bought the 3G alternator 95 amp, their voltage regulator, wire harness and charge wire all from PA performance. Everything installs easily was able to use spacer and brackets with no adjustments needed.  Clocking of alternator I left alone as that keeps wires in towards block not hanging out loose. Wire harness is plenty long for connections on alternator. The third wire needs connected to an ignition hot source I went to the solenoid...<br />

With this replacement spare, I can now push the bench seat all the way back and with space to laydown a golf bag.  Also, it is about 1/2 the weight.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[So,  one of the modifications that my &#039;75  with a 400 will be getting is a serpentine belt drive. It consist of all Ford parts with only the use of some homemade bracketry and a water pump adapter plate. I am currently about 90% through. On this particular build the water pump this from 5.8 liter along with its crank and water pump pulley, the alternator, ac compressor and power steering pump are off a Crown Vic.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So I know some have installed Pertronix electronic ignitions in their points cars; it does have the benefit of easy installation, and three different &#039;grades&#039; of units, plus a coil that goes with it, but others (like me) are gluttons for punishment, so Duraspark it is. Now, this unit was pulled from a &#039;76 LTD with the 351M and installed in Bear, Joe&#039;s &#039;73 Galaxie PI, because code enforcement. It had to be driveable and tabbed...we only got it driveable, since we had trouble with finding a...<br />
