      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Today I spent quite a bit of time working on the bed.  The PO in I&#039;m sure infinite wisdom, hot mopped the bed and up the sides.  So I have been using a putty knife and hammer to get the tar paper off and most of the tar under it.   I found only surface rust in the bed.  Oh, and there was a tow hitch welded under the gas tank.  So, tank leaked, so he cut a hole in the bed and installed a new upright tank 1/2 under and 1/2 on top of the front of the bed.  Would have been easier and faster (and...<br />

Got her up on jack stands this afternoon Floors solid older patches were done but solid. Sweet.!!<br />
Then I started checking for numbers and tags first backside of block Yes full vin stamped. Hard to see past accelerator rod but visible! Original block confirmed hoped but didn&#039;t expect to confirm so easy! <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I knew for sure the 69 Ranchero would be a loser from a financial standpoint when I bought it. I didn&#039;t buy it to try to make money or even break even.  I bought it for something to do after a few years of empty nesting.  My first choices for projects were 60s Camaros and Mustangs.  Then, a 70-73 Camaro.  Then a Jeep CJ.  None of those could be had within my budget, or were complete basket cases if so, so I settled for the Ranchero.  I thought it was kinda cool to boot. <br />

Put a new set of wheels and tires on for motivation.17x7 frt.17x8 rear.AR vn501 255/50 r17.Going to put a few miles on her,then tear out drive line/interior.Heater core/AC hvac rebuild,tilt wheel,hydroboost brakes and maybe a third pedal with T5.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hey guys so not to long ago finished installing a gz motorsports crankcase vacuum pump system on the 410 cleveland stroker.  Ever since I had this motor built up in 2009, it always had some blow by due to the large ring gaps.  Been planning to do this for quite some time, and I really don’t think the header evac system that was on there prior was doing much of anything.  Love the way it mounted up, and if anyone is ever in the market for one of these give them a look as the quality and...<br />
