Anybody else having issues? It's not uncommon to require 10 tries to find the server in recent days. Once connected it seems to work OK. The problem is not here, Comcast is still serving 20 Mbits for local servers. And I can get to sites like NYTimes.com near instantly.
Yes BB, your not alone, I suspect that the server settings have been changed, maybe watching a certain few to make sure you are you and you won't make crazeeenesss...
Yepp, has the same problem here to, has to go into the site trough Google or some other search options
Try going to ranchero.us, then the forum page. Works every time I have tried it. I suspect that the forum page does not have a unique IP address, have not taken the time to find out, requiring the local server to handle the routing. The server naturally gives priority to internal calls when it is busy.
Why don't you run your own server and cache all of your posts to free up the server. You know your posts are the only reason people come here.
I look forward to your prompt resolution of this problem. Your fans should not have to suffer thru the agony of pressing the refresh button just to get their Sean fix.
Seriously. What kind of a financial nut are you looking at to move to a better server? I know you would need to be sure you were able to keep it for at least 3 years before you made the move, but you might be surprised how many people pony up for an improvement if you let us know what was needed.
Do not hold you breath this problem has been around with all the server upgrades....we can't seem to get rid of him
I tried to get them to go get a room (a couple years ago) and get http://www.clownmotel.com, they didn't go for it, so we are kinda stuck with the funnya
Yeah, it's been working fine for me too. Now I'm just watching the kids pulling on the tail of a sleeping dog, and waiting to see them run crying to mommy when it bites them.
