Maybe, but., I bought two that weren't cracked for $20. I then cleaned and polished them. They look as good as those now.

Did anybody else notice those junkyard visit pics that were on the board about a week ago? There was a rear view of a 70 - 71 that still had a good taillight, as well as you could see it in the pics. But the guy reported it had gone to the crusher --

The dumb high bidder could have saved $400 with a little polish and nobody would know.

Two fools! I could take mine, which are 90% perfect, spend $50 to rechrome the trim and they'd be as nice as those. I'd then have $70 invested in them (plus some work).

Chromed potmetal trim on my 70. Boys, what did I say was gonna' happen to the prices of whole Rancheros and the parts when people found out they existed ? Untill repops are on the market you will see more rediculous prices for seemingly simple bits an' pieces we used to take for granted. CJ can testify how things go now that he tackled a 428 Stang. Guarantee he's found some parts made of unobtainium just like we will on the Rancheros.
Ain't life grand now that folks know what a Ranchero is ?

Could have sworn the last set I sold had stainless trim on the lense and zinc potmetal chrome frames.

Nope, the ones I had that were bad were all pitted and peeling.
