Made in China.... Bad news boys... even AMERICAN RACING WHEELS are NOW made in China! Bought a replacement wheel for a set that was 5 years old and the new wheel said... right on the box... "MADE IN CHINA"! So much for an AMERICAN RACING WHEEL made in AMERICA! By the way, most all OE wheels for GM and Ford and Chrysler (and the "other" foreign car makers) are now made in China with RARE exceptions!
Here is a 255/60-15 placed in the rear (I added the wheel with P-shop). It's 10" wide and I think looks pretty good.
i have 255 60 15 on the rear. 215 65 15 front. they are mounted on 10 inch and 8 inch solid chrome wheels with baby moons. i like wider in the back smaller in front. just like high school.
i dont know if i needed 10 in wheels. i put it in the hands of w/w tire co. i think they said it was stock back spacing on them. they fit and look good!
You have the right size wheels for the tires you have. Pulling the sidewall in with an undersized wheel gives you a bit of clearance, but at the expense of handling.
The tires and wheels for my Ranchero were delivered. The 255/60-15's will rub the quarter if the body drops any (hits bump, light load in bed, etc.), he says. I think it needs a different backspaced rim (tons of room on the inside). He says to get the 70's we are putting on the front on the back to. Opinions? 60's 70's
what size are the fronts? maybe a 245 60 in the rear or maybe this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/East...t=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item2a10bf2ef2
215-70/15's on the front. I'm all for rolling the lip, but Dad doesn't want to ruin the value of the car (I know). I'm trying to get a rim with another 1 1/2" of backspace. There is a 6" of clearance on the inside.
And cut a hole out of the floor and filled in the antenna hole. Less would push the wheel further outboard, no?
15 x 8 on all four with 4.25 in backspace fitted with 255 x 60 x 15 rear and 235 x 60 x 15 front - Perfect rides nice handles well and looks good with a nice rake .......... my 2 cents worth
