    AOD with 4R70W Internals

    Lentech valve body installed. This valve body gives a true 4 gear selection and overdrive lockout switch.

    8.8 with tubes cut making total axle width of 45.25 inches to fit the new 11 inch rims with 12 inch tires and 3 inch backspacing.

    That thing is gonna be sick with those wide wheels....
    i have a 62' i bought about 10 years ago...
    runs great but needs tons of work...stock 144 with 2 speed

    How are you gonna stuff all that motor between the shock towers????:cool:

    It may be worth that or more in parts but no one is ever going to pay that much for a Ranchero We still love them anyway.

    Got my kit from CHP, they had the best prices and broadest choices in my opinon. The crank is a scat cast steel crank and probe pistons forgot who the rods are from.

    The motor sits low and the falcon/ranchero have quite a bit of room under the hood top to bottom, left and right well not so much.

    Shock towers are gone, I installed a Heidts MII suspension so extra room now.

    Yeah thats what I thought at first too. I have almost enough money invested in rebuilding my front end and suspension to pay for a Mustang II swap. They really arent that much for what you get. ;)

    Good job Don!
    Looks like you will end up with a small displacement rig that will end up near the top of it's class.
    Lots of cubes can cover a lot of errors, or at least make people ignore them.
    Keep up the good work.
