AOD with 4R70W Internals Lentech valve body installed. This valve body gives a true 4 gear selection and overdrive lockout switch. 8.8 with tubes cut making total axle width of 45.25 inches to fit the new 11 inch rims with 12 inch tires and 3 inch backspacing.
Is that all gonna fit under that hood???!! I like the rims you have chosen. They look good with the red paintjob. Well done man!
That thing is gonna be sick with those wide wheels.... i have a 62' i bought about 10 years ago... runs great but needs tons of work...stock 144 with 2 speed How are you gonna stuff all that motor between the shock towers???? awesome work!
It may be worth that or more in parts but no one is ever going to pay that much for a Ranchero We still love them anyway.
Got my kit from CHP, they had the best prices and broadest choices in my opinon. The crank is a scat cast steel crank and probe pistons forgot who the rods are from.
The motor sits low and the falcon/ranchero have quite a bit of room under the hood top to bottom, left and right well not so much.
very cool......that really opens up room ..... kindof pricey......but wth......can't take it with you.......
Yeah thats what I thought at first too. I have almost enough money invested in rebuilding my front end and suspension to pay for a Mustang II swap. They really arent that much for what you get.
Good job Don! Looks like you will end up with a small displacement rig that will end up near the top of it's class. Lots of cubes can cover a lot of errors, or at least make people ignore them. Keep up the good work.
I'm sorry, but I was raised to believe that if you didn't have anything positive to say, then don't say it. So...I'm not saying.
