Very nice. What intake manifold would that be (Weiand)? I assume the hood scoop is necessary to clear the intake, carb, air cleaner.
Thanks for all the compliments, yes it is a Weiand, and we made the fiberglass hood for clearance needed with carb, spacer and manifold...here are some pics of the bottom, just got compressor going in new garage so I can get the fuel tank straps into the blast cabinet...need some touching up under there also....
I have the same manifold on my 460, the Stealth. I was able to use the stock GT hood with a drop air cleaner base. Mine also has the clutch pedal automatic trans set up, and my shifter looks sorta 4-speedy.
I noticed the weld too, kinda looks out of place. figured its how they made it, looks a tad rough though.
Thanks, yeah happy with the way it turned out. Had it at a cruise night last night and got a lot of compliments....was first time out...
Are you refering to this picture? If so, it's an actual part of the lift structure, it's an added bracket, tacked in place for an upright piece to slide in from top. This thick, wide piece stands upright in place and stops car from rolling off....like a last resort for safety. Has one in front also, and on each ramp. I am so lucky just to have this lift, had to build a new garage to get space for it. Sure is nice to have as I get older, and plan on keeping this hobby...
