Owned a couple before when I was younger , 1976 with a 351 cleveland , and totaled right before paint, few years ago i had a 1965 with a 289 which was my dads, he was the second owner , so i guess i was the third , had to sell for family emergencies, and once again i just bought a 65 project with damn near everything there , bumpers , interior, spare misc. parts. Im really looking forward to putting her together and get on the streets. Later on i do plan on a small block v8 swap. I hope to be able to get suggestions to any problems i run into with the build

i kinda want to change the column shift to a floor shift , if you have any suggestions for that, ive been lookin at the hurst indy universal floor shifter

I like/have a Lokar shifter...the people there are very helpful (at least that has been my experience) in helping you get things right/sorted out which I'm in the process of doing...

I put in the Hurst floor shifter and I really like it. I "sawed off" the nub on the column and filled with bondo and painted and you can't tell it was even there. Besides the shifter, I pretty much got everything from Dearborn.

Well, growing up there in the 50's and 60's certainly was different than today...but yes, SC has become a cesspool :(
