Try that oscillator I linked above. It makes sine waves, which you'll see sound nothing like an organ pipe. A sine is by definition a pure tone, containing only one frequency. A tone that is NOT sine shaped contains more than the one frequency. If you want to see how low your speakers go, an oscillator is the correct tool to make the pure tones. Most revealing for adult men, it will also show how high you can really hear.
BB it was a joke I have the simulators on CD for the test tones/ waves. I get really low in both my home and car. The sweep curve is from low to high and I also have individual frequencies. Be very careful where your volume is set when you play these waves as I almost blew out my windows in my car because I had my volume up.
