Announcing the first Spring Ranchero Roundup!!!! The dates are March 23-25 2018 at the Daytona International Speedway. Once I see what kind of interest there is I will work on getting a club parking area so we can all park in the same place. I have been kicking this idea around for a few years and decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. Here is a link to the event site. Navigate around for additional information. http://turkeyrun.com/events/spring-2018.html
Sounds cool. That's a great venue. Maybe the best outside of Woodward. Hop on the 70-71 Torino/Ranchero Owners Facebook page too. That could up the attendance 70-80%.
I don't have facebook so if someone can hop on the Torino/Ranchero owners page and make an announcement I would be much obliged.
I posted this thread/announcement over on Grantorinosport.org, hopefully there will be some positive interest and possibly some member involvement.
As I wake I looked for a pricing schedule but have no luck... It MAY be cause I`ve not had enough coffee yet EDIT = Very limited information at this time, when I search >> ""Upcoming Event""/// I`ma headed to the home page to check it out too... I do find e mail & phone #s to contact...
Yeah, it is still too early to register. They send me a booklet in the mail with a registration form when they are ready because I have registered in the past. Ill let everyone know when the registration opens. Make sure when you register you annotate the club under club affiliation: ranchero.us
http://www.turkeyrun.com/events/car-show.html 4th weekend of March is drawing neigh!!! @andrewok1 just reminded me of this event getting really quickly closer by the hour... So, how`s about posting here if you`re planning on a show up...
I took the weekend off from work and plan to be there!!! Later today ill start researching the club parking thing and see if I can get it figured out.
If I happen to be down in Florida for work when this happens I'll have to try prying myself away to join in on the fun.
This is the same weekend we do our Saturday Poker Run/ABATE District fundraiser, but, as I told @andrewok1 I can make it afterward... The party keeps going well into the night and the wee hours of the morning at these Ranchero Roundups!!! I`ma Looking forward to meeting y`all, dc
The bad news... The registration doesn't ask for club affiliation like the fall event does. I'm thinking that means there isn't any reserved club parking in the spring. If that's the case then we are going to have to get in touch, meet up, and go in together. I plan to call the contact number at a reasonable hour (It's 0 dark-thirty now) and find out more. I am registered by the way.
