A few million high-school teenagers care. Never mind the paid-for crisis actors, etc. I doubt they'll have enough voter push to make a difference in 2018, but the seed is there.
We had our time. It's their turn. I'll never be one of those old bitchy guys who think the younger generation should live the same way I did, just because I did.
In 6-10 years when they are fully off of Mama's teat, it will be their turn. They will be a lot smarter by then (most of them at least some will stay dumb).

That's how I got my first car. My brother and I went out when I was 15, mow and trim front and back yard $2. We did 836 lawns that year.

Eight kids died from eating Tide Pods in the past 5 years. These deaths are tracked by the CDC, unlike gun fatalities. Guess how many kids were shot in school this month. Hint: More than 5
6 kids die every day due to texting and driving. Getting text capable cell phones off the streets off the streets would save untold thousands of lives. 2 die every day on bicycles, get rid of those things too. Well ... they think a redneck with an AR-15 is going to save the country from a foreign take-over. If you read the text of our 2nd Amendment you can see the logic of it. I suspect that most just enjoy shooting empty beer cans.
Most people I know think the 2nd is to protect them from our government taking over (as if), but in reality they like shooting. I like shooting. I also know nobody is coming to get my guns. Ain't gonna happen.
I believe that it takes a 2/3 majority from Congress and the Senate and 35 States to repeal an amendment to the Constitution. Not going to happen.
Probably not even then. The Bill of Rights was incorporated into the constitution proper as articles, not amendments. They are contained in the body of the Constitution that was signed, rather than added later. The 2nd amendment is actually called the 'article of the fourth' in the constitution. Calling it the '2nd amendment' is not factually correct. While they are technically amendments to the original draft, they did not amend the constitution as ratified, so the process to remove them is the same as the process to change the wording of the original Constitution. It was the founding fathers intent that changing the body of the Constitution was to be impossible,but I have seen some plausible legal theories that with scenarios where it could happen. Basically it would require dissolving Congress, as Lincoln did, then calling a convention of the states and getting unanimous approval. In the civilized world, that is called a coup, and the likely result would be a military dictatorship.
