Nice thick flanges, those shouldn't leak.
Did they give you the longer bolts? When I put the headers on my 5.0 the standard ARP 12pt bolts were too short. Only had about 1/4" to thread in. Might have been Ok with iron heads though.

JBA headers were a fail..Drivers side collector exit interfered with tranny linkage, plus I would have to pull manifold to replace #7-8 plug.No bueno.Speedway was Kwel, refunded 100%!Great company.
Went back to coated patriot header like I installed in 73.Great header, just dont like 3 bolt collectors.Wanted ball/socket connector.Ordered copper gaskets and ARP fastners from summit.Hopefully no redos..Got enough parts to keep me busy for a while.

Nobody likes 3-bolt flanges, but if you had a scrap header with a decent usable ball end, would you consider paying the money to cut that 3-bolt flange off and having the recycled ball flange welded on to your header, then redo the powder coating?

Or, do what is more commonly done and weld a ball flange to the header reducer.

Yeh they make flange kits for 3 bolt collecters, but pricey.Ill run these..
Fuel system in and tested.Dont PI gauge for schrade valve but sprays pretty good when depressed.Ill find out when I crank if injectors fire.
PS and tranny cooler mounted,O2 bungs welded on collectors. Will install headers tomorrow, maybe intake plenem.Tons of little stuff yet to do,getting closer!

Just remember, car projects are the death of a thousand fasteners. But it's cool you're getting it done.

It certainly tastes like it came from Milwaukee's treatment plants.

Been a while but finally got her purring.Had a couple wires making contact in TFI circuit causing no spark condition.Meter showed power and continuity when testing each wire.Swapped electrical parts to 73 to test.Ended up replacing main harness with one that andrewok 1 gave me.Thanks buddy!
Runs perfect, nice and smooth, aod shifts on time with proper down shift.Still got to find someone to fab AC hoses so I can be cool. Will make a run to death valley next week for shake down.Takes a while for eec to learn.Really needs 3.25 gears, think the 73 will pull it of the line.

Those things are great. No more giving up a shot at a nice buck or boar because it is on the next rise and you dread hauling the carcass back to the camp.
