I've been surprised by how many Smart cars I'm seeing on the road; I thought people would have gotten over that fad long ago. Have you guys done any tests on those? I would LOVE to see the videos.

If you are sick, you buy things to get healthy.
If you are fat, stuff to get slim.
If you are dumb you buy things to be smart.
That is what advertising is all about, naming things for your target audience.

I think he's saying that intelligent people buy Chevys? Hard to tell with him.

There was one vid I found several years ago on YouTube that showed a British TV show(?) Smashing one of the early ones.

Unlike some fool crashing this thread, we actual crashed a few, back in 2009. After putting that tiny POS through our normal tests, it did surprisingly well, which was really a surprise because the frontal test pretty much shows what a vehicle will do in a crash with something similar in weight. So, to prove a point, we crashed one into a midsize car of the same make; we did three pairs, actually (one Honda, one Toyota and one Mercedes, which owns Smart). Not sure why it's not on our YouTube page (I'll ask tomorrow), but here it is. I bet the Smart was going to turn over, and it came close.

The kids really like those things for some reason.
I imagine they are a real help to people who can't remember what they are supposed to be doing during the day, can't remember phone numbers, or need to be told where to go. The people I see with them waste more time with them in a day than it could possibly save them in a week.

That vid Ford500GT posted has been here before. IIRC you posted it on an earlier thread about this topic.

The label has a little boy on it. That beer is marketed to people who want to become men and learn to drink beer.

I know that, Sean shouldn't get so defensive when people post on thread where he considers himself the expert (he does know about crash testing, he does it for a living) and start insulting people though. He really needs to develop a thicker skin.

Haven't seen any of them, the Google adbots are usually watching, but none of the bots post comments very often. Occasionally a sock puppet will show up, but they don't last long.

The Bing robots are only annoying to me because they don't always index the site correctly. If you are using Bing to search for this site or something on it, sometimes it comes out missing pictures or sections of text. Occasionally Windows 10 forces you to use Bing in some situations.

That is because you end up with caches of the site. That happens with any search engine.
Use the site search function here rather than a search engine.

I do use the site search function. Trying to use Google or Bing to look for a thread would be a nightmare
