That thing could put any Chevy 'beater' to shame.
Put some bad shocks on the front and it would be a natural for doing the Tijuana merge.

"I have a proyecto truck" :D Thought I read that wrong. People should at least educate themselves on what they are selling before they sell it.
Often times, I look up Ford El Camino on CL and plenty of 'Cheros pop up.

At least he didn't write the ad in Spanglish, he probably does not know the English word so he put the Spanish one in there.

Here in Chaparral, most people write ads in Spanglish, but I was surprised to see that in Portland

We have 8-10 million of them here in CA, they are spread all over the west, especially in the Reconquista area that was the California protectorate.

I used to talk in Spanglish too. Spanish is my first language. Although I'm not totally fluent anymore.

I grew up in San Diego. Went across the border often and spoke Spanish (well, Mexican actually) well enough to pass as not a Gringo as long as it was casual conversation. A big help when dealing with cops down there.
That was late 60's and early 70's. Now I understand most of what I hear, and some of what I read, but speaking is limited to in head translation and I commonly can't remember the right words anymore.
I still remember a bunch of insults though as I work on construction sites with lots of people from south of the border.

Have you ever used it to catch someone insulting you? Then you embarrass them by speaking their lingo?

Numerous times, yes. You'll never see someone more surprised than when you fire back at them.

    yup.
That is why I know the insults. Having 'your mother is a whore' roll off the tongue in Spanish stops that BS in a heartbeat.

My friend Steven is a born American but his parents were Estonian emigrees; I was with him when someone said something nasty about me and my obesity in Cyrillic, and Steven threatened to kick their asses for it...in Cyrillic! I gotta say, that language lends itself to angry shouting.

Sort of along these lines, minus the insults, I was fishing on Clear Lake with a friend of mine...he's somewhat of a ginger....anyway, we're working our way up a canal and came upon a pair of anglers fishing from float tubes...speaking some dialect of Chinese... He's fluent in Mandarin, so he asks them how the fishing is, among other things....the looks they gave us was priceless. They were very intrigued that a red headed white boy knew their language.
