Please excuse the picture quality from the TV but here is the strongest stock looking 1964 Ranchero ever made. It is carrying a crushed 1964 4-door Lincoln Continental with $1,000,000 (in 1964 prices) in gold bullion in its bed. Total weight for that crushed block of metal loaded in the bed is 7,026 lbs = 3.5 tons WOW ( 5,258 lbs for the Lincoln + 1,768 lbs of gold). And its not even scrapping the driveway. HaHa. 7,000 + lbs and not even dragging the bumper ! One tuff ride !
Good eye ! I never noticed that the street scene had white walls on it. So maybe there were 2 Rancheros for the filming? I always wondered why it was blue and not gold colored, hmmm
Yes, I forgot about him. So now it carrying the equivalent of a 2018 Ford F-350. Damn thats one tuff '64 haha
Funny to stumble on this post today. I was looking for at some cheap junk and found that you can buy a nos 1/43rd scale model of this car, specifically for the movie, from China. There are some on eBay for more $ used than this is new. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
