    Hello everybody,
I`m new to the forum and happy to find people sharig the same interest.I`m already driving a 65 Mustang and now fell in love with the 72 Ranchero, which I am planning to buy .The car should be a daily driver and I want to use it for my company ( I am manufacturing large scale jet model airplanes that need transport in one piece )
However, using a car in the company can be tricky, as the authorities ask for the list price of a historic car when it was new.Without this informtion, I am not allowed to register the car.
So I was searching for old documents about the ranchero, but could not find anything useful.
Has anyone a source for Ford price lists from 1970-1973 ?
    Thanks in advance ! Ilja

www.martiauto.com has records of all Fords since 1967. His company can tell you exactly what your Ranchero price new and where it was sold. His prices vary as to which report you want. Nice Ranchero!

Low retail $13,100? That would mean, Andrew, that you're sittin' on a goldmine, if you can get two more Fishmouths together and running!

If you look hard enough, you can get 3 or 4 Fishmouths for $13K.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON LEAD TIMES FOR WINDOW STICKERS:

Average turnaround time for most window stickers is 6-8 weeks. IF WE DO NOT have the Ford Original Invoice for your VIN, extra time will be required for content and layout of the window sticker. Expect 2-4 months for completion of these window stickers (See the ORIGINAL INVOICES tab under PRODUCTS to see if we have the original invoice for your VIN).

Many thanks for your help !
Unfortunately the "NADA Guides" site is not available from my end.Clicking the link shows something like. "...sorry, this site is not available for most of the European countries ".
But what I see from the information above is that the base price for the Ranchero was 3201 $, and the GT model 3216,10 $ ( the GT just 15$ more ??? )
So, together with some options like power steering ect, my Ranchero must have had a price around 3500$ in 1972.
Its still strange to me that none of the official FORD brochures of that time do not show prices. Here in Germany it has always been a standard , that promotional catalogs show base prices and option prices.
Thanks again for all your help !
    Ilja

Love the stance. This low ride with huge tire look is rubbing off on me.

Why not, they are as strong or stronger than the original wheels.

Contact the company for the wheels on your Chero and request a comparison between yours and the originals, it would be a shame to have to change the look of what you have.

Those are very light aluminum wheels. Mine weigh less than any other full sized wheel I have ever picked up.
The current wheels with the same name have a lot more metal in them.
When I looked into them years ago I couldn't find proof that they were DOT approved.
