You screwed up by getting butthurt over a comment about your Dad's car.
Smoking a turkey is a good thing

You try to be cordial, and then Ribald comes out. Color me correct, though.

FF, is this really the thread you want to help your little buddy hijack?
A single reply was all that the thoughtless post deserved. Have some class and take this elsewhere.

I don't recognize that sheet metal part. I have that saw too. I use it to carve our pumpkins. Seriously. Find something better.

No easy way to remove them spot welds..Lot of work ahead for you Andy.Spot weld drill bit works well if ya got room, harbor freight has em.
Oxy/acet torch with 00 tip and BF pry bar will speed things up,but ya need another set of hands.Wish was closer to give you hand,I love demo!Keep up the good work!

No easy way? I used these to remove every spot weld ( I could reach) on my Rancher b-post and quarter. It went really fast, like 5 seconds each weld, fast. Took me longer to find and center punch each one. Now, on newer cars with HSS it's a bitch.

That bar across the back of the doorways--is that for preventing body flex?

yes, just too help shouldn't experience to much flex, can only help to be cautious, removing only a half of floor at a time , did the same on BLUE , without injury

It looks like someone killed one of those acid blood Aliens inside that thing. You patching, or replacing entire panels?

YES acid rust coverter used, , never rinsed it off , I will finish sandblasting before welding in the panels ,
REPLACING Panels , will be making most of them-and or reconstructing panel s, that doesn't quite fit properly, I am using 16 gauge sheet metal its harder to work with but cheaper than lighter gauge sheet metal that can be purchased here in FLA, INTERNET PURCHASED CRAP - panels are 18-22 gauge depending where they are purchased from ,AS I SAID THEY DONT MAKE THE PANELS with THE correct PROFILE, so alot of work a head
