So let me get this straight - - massive blizzard June - July '64? With my family it's houses Parents bought in july, I was born next March. Wife and I bought in October, number 5 born following July. House, snow, any excuse works.
I forgot the 20" snow 3 years ago. This is when I found Pat, and the back corner of my wife's C250. Good times, that.
We here in Colorado are getting pounded too. Just after a few 55 degree days where i finally got my 67 out and down the road some. Ready for spring thats for sure.
here in southern Oregon, in the valleys, about 600 feet in altitude, we normally average about 3 inches of snow. Over several dustings in February! I have a friending who lives near Lake Tahoe… he wasn't very sympathetic either! They have also had record snow fall... 500 inches (about 42 feet) in some places... Gas insert to keep the house warm during power outages will make these events more tolerable!
I'm told I've been a stubborn mule since even before I was born. Apparently my mother had a two day labor with me. But that pales in comparison to a 13 month pregnancy! Well played!
Cindy is all, "I ain't coming out until spring time!!!!!", but she finally relented early. Probably from lack of room.
Got told to leave once at Pikes Peak due to a snow storm on a Fourth of July. Eighty degrees at the bottom but well below freezing at the summit and snowing hard down to the tree line. Made for a really short stay at the top. Pic is seconds before the white out hit.
Oh put some pants on already, Hillbilly!! Who you trying to impress with your polar bear imitation, anyway?
Can't be me FF. There aren't any trees on Pikes Peak. I bet that fool got some serious shrinkage problems, doubt it matters he has no pants on.
Hey PER (once again, your name escapes me...), I heard on the radio this .orning several highways in South OR we're just closed due to deep snow and downed trees, simply because tree crews could not traverse the snow to get to the trees until this weekend. Any closed in your area?
I'm surprised you haven't sent Chuck Norris their (TD and FF) way to take care of your light work. OR have you???
Not going to bother Carlos Ray over trivial pursuits I can solve on my own. Not saying his brother wouldn't enjoy a little sport though.
I5 was closed from Glendale (90 minutes South) to Cottage Grove (40 Minutes North) of me on Feb 25, for several hours! Was down to one lane just south of town due to trees. 138 from Sutherlin to the Coast was closed to through traffic, as was 38 from I5 to Elkton Junction with 138. Still closed I believe, or severely restricted. Friend of mine who lives near Hwy 42, Roseburg to the Coast, still without power! Got cell service yesterday. Later PER (Bruce)…
