Beware the VIN plate shown on Craigslist is for a 72 Ranchero GT Q code and same Ranchero listed on eBay and shows the 73 Ranchero Squire N code 429 Data sticker in door jamb but DMV ONLY verifies VIN to title by the metal VIN plate on dash so they might have changed dash pad from a 72 but didn't swap the pad onto the original upper metal dash which if they don't have the original upper dash with correct VIN can cause issues in getting it titled and registered. Friend of mine bid on it then found it on craigslist and called seller and the guy was dumbfounded and didn't explain why the VIN shown on craigslist doesn't match the data sticker on eBay. Plus it listed at $8500 on CL and is at No Reserve on ebay and started at $1 and says its relisted due to high bidder Canceled bid. Sounds like either Fake bidder aka friend bidding it up to where he wants it to sell and when it doesn't reach it has friend outbid high bidder so he doesn't have to sell it cheap instead of paying a Reserve fee to eBay.
Looks like he ended eBay auction wonder why. Maybe cause he was caught on VIN issue or the $2000 highest bid yesterday was not high enough? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Ford-Ranchero/193247441097?hash=item2cfe71f0c9:g:R48AAOSwgGJd7YRr
I grew up in Barnegat Light on Long Beach Island then in 1976 moved to Manahawkin till I graduated school then moved to South Florida for 26 yrs. Came back in 2012 to be near family I have left. Was living at my younger half brothers for 3 yrs till he and his wife had 1st child so I moved to Galloway for few years. I worked in Jackson for 8 months after Hurricane Sandy at a big body shop you may know of as they have a big towing fleet , Jerry's Auto Body & Towing
I worked there when Jerry's big Mack Heavy Duty Rotator Wreck caught on fire when Jerry was driving it. Burned up the whole cab and melted the emergency beacon on front of wrecker body but the back was pretty much unharmed. Jerry planned on getting a New Peterbuilt chassis and put the Rotator crane and body on the new Pete. I left before he got insurance settlement so not sure what happened with rebuild. Had to send the other Heavy Duty Wrecker to tow it back to shop and Jerry had just had a new carport built for the 2 trucks prior to the fire so it would keep the snow off them.
This was the Mack Rotator that burned up This must be the new replacement but they got an entirely new Rotator as it's not same wrecker body as the Mack had but he did get a Peterbuilt
