As the new year arrives a lot of us Ride into the New Year on new years day...
I did just that as I watched the odometer turn over 63,000 miles for the second "go `round" I`ve seen...

A goal of mine is to meet every member I can...
If you`re interested in meeting up and riding post here...

I`m in swGA but will ride to meet up, especially at rallies...

List the rallies you`ll be attending this year...

Angel City in Unadilla, GA is a regular for Ann & myself...
We are active with Hope Ministry Bike Show at the Spring & Fall rallies...

Also, we`re active in ABATE of GA
I am District Coordinator, Ann is membership director...
District 13 meets in Ashburn GA 2pm on the first Sunday of each month regularly
    (unless we`re busy elsewhere)

    We Ride (into 2019)

I'm in SoCal, so you'd have quite the ride to meet up, even if we met half way.

Dr.s have released me, but ANN ain`t done so, yet...
I ain`t riding quite yet, other than in the yard and at the rally grounds...
I bought the front fender and saddlebags at our Swap Meet/Rally in the mountains a couple weekends back...
I had already replaced the handlebars, but need to get them other parts installed too now...
Saddlebags, windshield, fender and lowers,I got most, but, I still gotta find fairing and lowers...
@colnago maybe one day I`ll make out there ;)
Sturgis, SD is the longest journey so far...

    Physical Therapy is working,

Glad to hear that PT is working. I probably need to start (I have some wonk neurology stuff going on; the doc says that if I don't want to be in a wheelchair, I have to start moving/stretching. And reaching for the remote doesn't count).

Seen Dennis in action = He has his own rehab training going on and it sure seems to be working. I suspect the desire to be back on the saddle is a huge driver in his super quick recovery. Dennis also has no fear of adding miles to the odometer, he thrives on distance runs.

Yes, I have to take the long way home on my trips to town or pert near any time...
That`s what got me in trouble with that deer...
It`s only 3 miles to our church Mens club meeting and I took the LONG Way home...
    I Love riding,
    D
Can`t warm the oil unless it runs for 1/2 hour ;)

I just got in from my prescribed therapy session, an hour of stretching and burn outs...
@Hillbilly is talking about my rigorous exercising/working the left arm overhead...

A whole load of experiences? A really full load or just an average load? Sounds like a great time!

Ha, I camp by using a manual can opener instead of an electric one to open Hormel chili. That's roughing it I'll tell you.

I used to enjoy camping, but camping in Florida is all about bugs, heat, and rain. No thanks.

It being 29 degrees this morning, I`ll wait for our "high" of 45 before I straddle the saddle, for my trip to town...

    We RIDE,

It has been a spell this thread has had any activity...
    We ARE Riding...
I`ve been working on mine and been riding our son, John`s, VTX 1300, when "My Baby" is on the lift...
    What a difference...
I put nearly 200 miles on the clock, on mine last Sunday, to "Test Ride" and get back to normal...
Been had a turn signal issue and blowing fuses when I pulled the brake lever, All is Well now...
I`ve been busy with "My Baby" this year, replacing broken parts ==> Swapmeet Windshield, Heritage Soft Tail Front fender, Road King Saddlebags, Foot pegs, and this past week the left side cover was gifted me...
It appears I`m getting ready to strip her down for paint...
    Naah, not just yet,
    Dennis

    Who else is Riding???

I have ridden more this year that the last 8 combined. Finally got my BMW back on the road after being broken for 5 years or so with a faulty charging system, then a bad battery, bad brakes, and finally old tires that were in desperate need of replacement. I try to get out at least twice a week either around my area or I go riding with my mom up in Jacksonville. She is 81 and rides an Indian scout, but because of her age she will only ride with me riding with her. Can you blame her?

I keep a Honda Shadow up at her house, and have the matching Shadow here at my house so I can bounce back and forth between the BMW and Honda. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and ride completely different. The Honda has forward controls and the BMW has the rider seated upright, which is surprisingly much more comfortable on a long riding day.
