What part is being sold exactly? If you buy a circuit board for a 72 does it include a working tach?

Oh wow that looks brand new! I just had to clean up mine to make my signal light indicator work again. I'm tempted to buy one just because I'm sure mine isn't going to last forever

How do you know if u need the circuits?
My tach works but it's WAY off......needle starts at like 3,000RPM and go's to 6,000....speedo is about 15mph off (too high)

your tach my be reading but not correct, that sound like a bad tach .
IT OPERATES all the gauges except tach- fuel /amps /directionals,brake warning light /also has to do with the lighting of the gauges,

I bought an aftermarket tach from autometer, took the guts out and installed it inside my gauge cluster. It works perfect. At first glance it looks stock but if you look close its easy to tell it's not. I'm happy with the outcome though

Yeah......Fuel/amps/and guage lights don't work but directionals do, not sure on the brake warning light.
I'm having the rear end looked at becasue it's making noise and the trans not downshifting issue......then i'll try to get the guages looked at.

    Thanks for the idea.
You don't have the model # of the Autometer tach by any chance do you? May not make a diff but I figured it might be better if I bought the same one since it worked for you.

I don't have the model number anymore I don't think. I bought it because the face of the gauge was almost exactly the same size as our stock tach face. I took a bunch of photos during the project so I could probably post them. I don't want to hijack this thread so maybe I'll start a new one.
