I totally agree on the Cobra and maybe a loaded Squire. I guess I would mess with a Bentley either. My '79 GT now has Edelbrock heads and cam along with a Weiand intake and DUI distributor. I also have 12" Billet Legacys on the back with 10" on the front....and I LIKE IT! When it comes right down to it, what a person does with a car is really his own business.
Decided to go up to Eugene for a new car show. They were a little surprised when better then 300 cars showed up. I was the only Ranchero there. No Awards, but I did win a professional photo shoot in the raffle. Brittany's going to be a star! LOL
Your '69 is gorgeous. I'm glad you are getting a professional photo shoot...Brittany deserves it. I also like the Deuce 3 window.
Yes , we’ll deserved awards Per . Trying to get my head around the thought process that comes up with something like that. I saw a flat green new Landrover Discovery in Wanaka last year that was wrapped to look like it had riveted panels . Didn’t get a chance to get a photo. Denis.
Whoever came up with the riveted panel look had to have some older aircraft history. Can't make out the logo up by the windshield but odds are it is for some airplane builder.
I took a couple looks at it, it looks like an aircraft squadron roundel. The bottom has a word, then a 5, 6 or 8, like pre-WWII carrier squadrons, "Fighting 6" (USS Enterprise's fighter squadron) is a possibility.
So last Tuesday I had my photo shoot. Drove up to Veneta and met with Red Rutherford. She advised me that she was thinking about three locations to shoot. Then a 4th location popped up and we did a shoot there... here are some examples that she just uploaded from her camera.
I finally got my car show idea off the ground. The 1st annual UCC Back to School Auto Extravaganza is in the books. Was a bit scary at the beginning, as it took a while for people to show up. But we finally ended up with 41 cars, and 17 vendors at the street fair. The College threw in 8 Departmental Awards, chosen by College Faculty, of which I got one. Pretty Cool.
Pretty happy with the turn out for the 1st annual show... https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10227642228624104&set=pcb.10227642262184943&__cft__[0]=AZW0Ex_Gpqi6IwWFe_Kue7bQxhn31XiVC-ASt4ConKKMyCZNN-X6vnPaHOV3tie9QxtNBK0udOJ0l1ddVDx5Jr5i6-_bIvRNH2IhQlACim3M7JYcg5yVbTMl6J2XD8rCPTA&__tn__=*bH-R
So I looked at the photos shot, and I hit upon and idea. I hope you don't mind that I did this, but if you do, or I'm running afoul of copyright, just PM me, I'll delete the photos. It's a straight-off zoom-in using the screenshot feature on my phone, then a reduction for the purpose of posting it here. Hopefully it fits: I really like just the corner of the front, GT badge, headlamps, and turned front wheel. A lot less busy than the original.
I like it... don't worry about copyrights, as long as you aren't trying to make money off of them. I own them!
If you want, I can email the original screenshot to you. And no, I'm not looking to make money, but if someone made me an offer, I'd contact you directly, discuss terms with you for the copyright use.
