Most, no all, Fishmouth owners are that way. I do agree with your assessment that 70-71’s are the best looking ones though.
Well maybe good news, Honda car was insured even though the driver at the time was not licensed. Have a call into the Insurance company there was already a case number. Waiting on a call back from the adjuster.
Good the hear, make sure to have those NADA values ready for them or they will say your ranchero was only worth $500 and offer to pay you $200
Sorry no pics but we had a full day with no rain. Got both inner fenders modified and coated with zerorust, both fenders coated inside with zero rust. core support, and header panel coated with, also got the fender/inner fenders and header installed for the final time.
The insurance company will want to total your car if you present them with a bill over about $500. Have a copy of a vintage car value guide handy when you talk to them and make sure you have the number to the state insurance commission on speed dial in your cellphone. Getting a call from the insurance commission is the equivalent of being owned by a 500 Lb. gorilla to the insurance companies. Every complaint they rack up is used against them when they ask for a rate increase. I have had to call the insurance commission in a few different states. It is interesting how cooperative the insurance companies become after having a chat with them.
Pretty Honest I would say I told her I did not want it totaled because I did not want the salavge title.. She Call me back a little while ago and asked me if I thought $1980.00 was fair.
That reads like a fair offer, if any offer is "fair" considering the aggravation of having your property damaged. I'd take it. I'm glad that you are getting something for your trouble.
HE'S BUSTED MORE KNUCKLES ON THE PYL THAN 1980.00.... seriously how many parts and quarts of blood have you left on the beast.... know the going rate for a blood donation these days????? The PYL owns you man.... don't sell out....
They pay him, he keeps the car, no total, no salvage title. What is the issue??? I'd like to see him get more but pushing the money button is probably going to get a "total" decision.
Exactly for what these are worth on the open market it not worth trying to push for more. Do not want it totaled do not want the salvage title. or the hassle to re-register. I was expecting $0.00 when I started repairing it so almost 2k is good. It will more than cover my expenses. I do not feel they lowballed me on it if the came in and offered me $500 I would be pissed. The Pyl is a beater has always been a beater not a show car or classic.
I agree - you have to be realistic about it. However, if he's willing to bluff a little they would probably raise the offer by a few hundred $$. After all, Carl did lose his burrito in the accident. I'm sure that's worth something for "pain and suffering".
