Brad, there is a member here called "super green dog" who has a chero like mine. I believe he is also looking for a tailgate handle. If you want to sell yours, and he hasn't yet got one, he may be a good match. Just a thought. Take care, Cindy

68 390GT. Bought it in Oregon 12/15 and had a wild 600 mi drive home. Then had a closer look. Rougher than I thought. Needs lots of work.

Enough about me. I'm going to use this space to talk about my car.

    1968 390GT C6 automatic, with A/C. Raven Black.

Bought it in Oregon 12/15 and had a wild 600 mi drive home to the Bay Area. Then had a closer look. Way rougher than I was led to believe. Needs work pretty much everywhere. But I can drive it while working on it. Front brakes will be the first thing to take on.

The engine seems good. Trans shifts hard - going to change fluid and filter and hope that does the trick.

New (stainless?) exhaust. New starter. New(?) dash pad.

Nothing on the dash works. Lights, gauges... nothing. Was told that the dash elect was bypassed to get charging system working? Whaaat?

Was told that floor panels had been replaced but wasn't told that they were put in right over the old rusty panels. Sheesh.

    Rusted out door bottoms.

Floors have new panels but I just found that they were put in over the old, rusted out ones. I'll have to take all that apart and redo it. Sheesh.

    Wheels rusty, tires ancient.

    Heater hoses disconnected (leaking core?)

    A/C not working.
