    Sho nuf!

When I was in OZ in '96 a fellow from the plant I was working at had a ' 71 XB Ute with an Aussie 351 , AOD and a Detroit Locker with what had to be a 4:10 and he let me drive it while he drove my rental Falcon down to Wolongong. What a hoot!

I kept thinking that Mad Max had the wrong vehicle.....

ebay sellers put any words in the discription to get a listing found. To bad its not one of the new Ford utes I saw when I was down under last year. They're good looking and have V8

The Fords in Oz are unfortunately cars that we can only dream about... The Falcons are so much better than American offerings with the exception of the Mustang.... One would think that Mullaly would wake up and realize that his "Global Car" program is screwing up royally by not importing the Australian Falcons.

Well I know of one early 1974 Ford Falcon ute that made the journey ;)

It can't be impossible to import a car from here NZ or Aus into the US mind you its not that easy finding nice one here anymore either ..........

Here one on Trade Me Kiwi version of ebay Ford Falcon XC Ute 1978

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Ford/auction-297135796.htm

Asking $5000 = US $3440 after the exchange rate is factored in

    :)

US Ford would make millions if they produced the new Ute here.Saw a 2007 in an issue of Car & Driver. AWESOME If I won the lotto, I would visit and have one brought over.

    4-door concept

I saw pictures of a 4-door Ute concept a few years ago. It was very well done. It was sporty, had utility, and got past the "you can't have it because we need a car we can all ride in" test.

Of course technically they could all ride in the bed....but we all know better than to try that argument with the wife. Well, most of us do.
