I'll gather all the parts and take loads of pictures before I begin installing anything. I ran out of time today at the junkyard, I had intended to get there around 10 or 10:30 but my brother finally showed up around 3 with the yard closing at 4:30. I was able to clear out all the vacuum lines and whatnot so that I can go back and hopefully pull the engine, rear diff, and hydroboost stuff on the 23rd. I'm also wanting to get those front spindles for the Torino as well but we'll see how my cash flow is doing that day.

Well just a update never really got the system "bled" to my liking brakes were adequate but not great well last week I was on my way to work the brakes gave out on the last hill right by the turn for my work. Pedal went to the floor and I barely got it stopped so I limped home after work. Ordered a new master cyl. came in yesterday after I went to bed I installed it tonight. Man what a difference apparently the master cyl has been bad from the start.

What a difference the hydro boost makes on stopping power. this thing will stand on its nose with very little effort but they are not grabby at all. I can say I will run these on every project I build from now on. Its like going from 4 wheel drum brakes to disc brakes. once you do that you never want to go back to drums.

You will find that they don't fade when hot either.
That is the best braking system around.

After driving it around today I am extremely happy with the swap now! Even with a dead motor it was easy to bring the PYL to a quick stop!:D

I see them now some how they got in the box with the quote

I am gathering parts for my swap and have 2 questions......

How did you know where to drill the new holes in the hanger?

Couldn't the pin for the rod be relocated higher in the "old" pedal?

    Thanks!!

    1) its the difference in the pivot shaft on the pedal shank
    2) since both the lower pin and upper pivot shaft were in 2 different spots My redneck trigonometry told me the arc would be different
    3) it was easier to drill the pedal mount than to drill and reweld the pin in

Would the pedal mount from a 78 Mark V fit the same as the 72? My issue is mine is a 4 speed.

I can see two advantages with the Mustang unit: the accumulator (aluminum cylinder near the top) and the bleeder screw. Also, the M/C is a newer unit and easier to source a usable replacement.
