This assembly came from a 1979 Ranchero and may fit other models. Do you own research to be sure. I compared the link to a 1970 model Ranchero and the bracket seemed a near match but the 1979 link was shorter so there are variations from year to year. I'll have to take a look at mine; after the rear-end secondary crash I was in, the tailgate doesn't close all the way flush, and it makes big pops when going up or down.
