Have any of you guys switched your vintage ride light bulbs over to LED? Anything I would need to know other than the correct #s?
If you have switched, what brand and what part #'s did you use?

And you will need to switch to an electronic flasher.

Not necessarily an electronic flasher. When I converted my 49 F1 to 12 volts, I also went with LED lights. There are LED compatible flashers that plug in, just as the incandescent flasher does. Just buy a quality one. Go to a trucking supply/parts vender. The ones at Pep Boys/Auto Zone just don't seem to cut it. The other consideration: you should use LEDs at both ends. Trying to combine LED rears with standard front turn signals will result in a very slow, if at all, flash and a dim light.

Good to know! Thanks guys. I will do all the lights at the same time, you have given me the info I was needing. I need to get my Ranchero to a suspension specialist to determine if the torque boxes are going to support the "frame" I have not driven it enough to determine if it has excessive body roll. Off topic, I know but the lights have been bumped down the list for a bit. Sub-frame connectors may be in the near future.
