It's a 2v (2 barrel carb came on it stock) Cleveland. It'll have somewhere around 8:1 compression if it's stock. They are essentially the same heads they put on 351M/400 engines. The 4v heads have much larger ports and come in closed or open chambers....the earlier version s gave nearly 11:1 compression with stock flat tops.

F351 2v I looked up those numbers and I think I read that it is a performance intake. I chose a 500CFM AVS2 P/N 350-1902. What do you think of that choice for this intake and motor?

that is not a 351m/400 engine its a 351C , 500 CFM should be good for a mild cammed 2v engine

Yes that stinks I thought I had a 400 but I guess it is not the original engine.

The quickest way to tell between a 351c and a 351m/400 is look behind distributor ce27b7a6d4ccfa2d0b88e302a6a3d9fd.jpg left is a 351m/400 has the rise under intake in front
    Right 351c almost flat
Between 351m and 400 changes are internal need to measure stroke.
