This is most likely a simple question but here goes. Where are the bolts to remove the seats in this 1971 429 cobra jet GT J code, I need to replace the carpet, thanks in advance for the help. I couldn't find and reference on youtube

IF YOU MOVE YOUR SEAT ALL THE WAYBACK , YOU CAN THEN SEETHE TRACK THE SEATS SLIDE ON , THEN BOLTS ARE LOCATED ON THE INNER SIDE OF THE TRACKS ,THEN PUSH SEAT OR SEATS FORWARD TO GET TO BACK BOLTS , -
YOU WILL HAVE 4 BOLTS ON A BENCH SEAT AND 8 WITH BUCKETS ,
YOU SHOULD ALSO NEED TO REMOVE THE SEAT BELTS BOLTED TO THE HUMP OF FLOOR WITH SEATS ALL THE WAY FORWARD

The bolts go through the floor, you need to unbolt them from underneath the floor.

You should be able to get enough clearance with ramps.

And they are cheap, sooner or later he will need them if he doesn't have a two post.

One more question on the seats, I have looked underneath and it looks like a double floor, should I be looking for plugs that maybe hide the seat track bolts?
    Thanks

Good news on the seats, we did remove the bench seat today and the nuts were on the bottom, now we can start removing and replacing the carpet and other interior items. Thanks for the help
