Here's another story from MSN. I'm hoping to hear "Iconic 1969 six cylinder Ranchero sells for $X million" one day. Yeah, right. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/cla...and-sells-for-dollar34m/ar-BBYQ2Ab?li=BBnb7Kz
I'm sorry but even if I was a Billionaire I'm not spending 3.4 Million dollars on a 68 Mustang just cause it was in an iconic movie. I could build a Custom 68 Mustang Fastback that would blow that car away. It's just a Highland Green 68 Mustang fastback with 390 4 speed and some mag wheels. Some people have more money then brains
I think you're missing the whole point. And many people have money AND brains, like the one who was able to buy this historic car.
Not very good collateral IMO,to get your 3.7 Million back you have to find another Billionaire crazy enough to spend that much money. And to think the Family who bought it paid $3500 in 1974 for that Iconic Movie Car. That was a great buy as look what they sold it for. He's laughing all the way to the bank. The only smart one in this whole deal is the seller
Holy cow, iconic car tho. I'd totally have paid that if I were a billionaire, for no other reason than I loved the car chase so much. I'd then put it in my house like a piece of art work! ...ill stop dreaming now!
Hey, as long as the money ensures McQueen's granddaughter accompanies the car, I'd make that brainless purchase.
They built two Mustangs for that movie, both heavily modified. Both were pretty badly damaged. So basically, you're getting a $3.4M car with a crap Carfax report.
