Does anyone have a picture of their spark plug wires rerouted in order to show off the motor? I am looking for ideas if you have suggestions or pictures
With a front mounted distributor (Ford), it's not easy hiding them. I suppose you could make them go down in front of the engine and up between the exhaust ports. Lot of work. I bought a roll or wire from MSD, the terminal ends, the crimper tool and some clamps. Looks better than most Ford engines with spaghetti wires.
None are mine, I found the images online. But here's a similar set, and I'm sure Summit, Jegs, etc. has something like them. https://www.centuryperformance.com/...al-spark-plug-wire-loom-kit-7mm-8mm-blue.html I just used zip ties on my 289:
Summit or jegs sells wire looms, used a set on a 351W years ago. They are a universal fit but help clean up the look as shown above. Don't have any pics handy.
I use zippy ties simply because I'm having to be cheap. But I feel that the look a Ford V-block engine should have the wires straight from the cap across the valve covers. That's just me.
Good question. I found them at a garage sale. I think they were industrial something or another. I had to clamp them together and drill each hole big enough for the wire. I did make the wires. Cut to length, and add the ends. MSD sells them that way.
