All heli's have a jesus bolt/nut/pin or something similar If you lose it well you bend over and kiss your good by I would take the Cheby short course truck Lot less $$$ or maintenance involved with it than the heli or them other things
showing my age with this one when Rod rocked and didnt croon and before Ronnie Wood joined the Stones FACES
You bet I do! My big brother Fred was 82d ABN, and he explained to me that they're called 'Jesus Nuts' because when the rotor blades fly off the mast, the last thing you yell is "JESUS!"
Dad said they were the best helos he'd flown in, in Vietnam. In "Apocalypse Now," when Chef asked the door gunner why he was sitting on his helmet, Dad said a split second before the door gunner, "So you don't get your balls shot off!"
Epic drum solo in that video. Jeff Beck joins Toots and the Maytals in a live version of their song 54 46 was my number.
No video to add here, but if you like Jeff Beck, checkout Live at Ronnie Scott's which is available on DVD and as a recording. Jeff has a phenomenal band and this has a version of Scatterbrain which just can't be described. Guitar – Jeff Beck Bass – Tal Wilkenfeld Drums – Vinnie Colaiuta Keyboards – Jason Rebello Eric Clapton, Joss Stone, Imogene Heap all sit in for a couple of numbers.
Speaking of El Becko: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Beck's_Guitar_Shop One of my favorite electric albums. "Serious sustaiiiin." I know...I'm stupid sometimes.... https://m.youtube.com/results?search_query=jeff+beck's+guitar+shop+full+album
I guess I'm older than a lot of you here but hung out a lot at SF music scene and in the Santa Clara Valley and Santa Cruz Mtns roadhouse dives...lots of 'em...one very talented gentleman I always tried to see was Taj Mahal. He played one time at Winterland with just him and 8 instruments on the stage...!
Yeah, Taj Mahal. I've seen him at Winterland back in the day, and at a place called Pepperland. But he doesn't look the same these days, probably added 150 pounds.
Ever see one of my favorite bands THE DOOBIE BROTHERS before they made the Big Time at a local place?? I know they played that area a lot in the late 60's early 70's.
One favorite band of mine, with a FANTASTIC guitarist, RIP Ronnie Montrose. One more....... I lied.....one more.....this tune should have been a massive hit........
I remember hearing a story about JEFF BECK agreeing to tour with Rod in the 80's and he walked off the stage in disgust of the tunes Rod wanted him to play from his "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" years! Poor guy couldn't take it anymore!
