I have somehow ended up with this set of 429 or 460 chrome Power by Ford valve covers. Far from the best quality but useable. Free if you pay the shipping.

    Those look like FE valve covers (352, 360, 390, 427 or 428)

They do, but as I look at them, the bolt pattern looks like 385-series. Good to see they went fast, hopefully to a good home.

The 385 series valve covers have 4 holes on the bottom mounting "rail". See here:

I would bet we all have a few parts in our "inventory's" that we could use that exact same comment on. ;)

Oops, you're right, once again. In my defense, I hit my head Saturday morning.

Andy, man, what happened(if you don't mind me asking)? I may get something like that when I smart off to the wife :p. Hope the injuries heal quickly.

Well I find there is always a blood sacrifice when working on the Ranchero.

Ain't that the truth Clark ! The older we get the more often those sacrifices occur. And the time needed to grow the hide back takes longer too.

I wish I could lie about this, but I tripped at the junkyard. Boy, that was the first time I've seen my own arterial blood. Glad I didn't puke.

There's careful, as in, walking upright and looking for trip hazards, and then there's "careful," as in, "Surprise! I just popped outta the dirt when you stepped on me, and snagged your other foot while it's mid-step!!! HAHAHAHA! Have a nice trip, see you in the fall!"
