    Hi.

There is a local sign and graphics shop that will print me some vinyl stickers for my Mustang wheel center caps if they have a good image to start with.

(I can't afford the actual center caps. They are well more than I gave for the wheels so I'm gonna fake it!)

Below are examples of what I'm looking for.

Can anyone help me out ?

    Thanks.

Oh, the graphics folks need an example without scratches or flakes. They said defects will show up in the finished product and therefore did not want to use the bottom photo above if they didn't have to.

The trick will be finding a good straight-on image. Here's a few I found, but without any lettering.
Also, if your Mustang inserts are curved, there may be an issue with the vinyl print wrinkling as it tries to follow the curvature; sometimes some very light heat will help them conform.

I don't have a Rio Grande so I was just going to go with the center like this:

I messaged the ebay seller to see if he would take some straight on pics of one of the examples but haven't heard back yet. Might never hear back but I just messaged a little while ago

Here's a few I modified by noodling around with one of the ones I sent. Don't know if they'll work, but maybe worth a try. Your sign shop would have to add the circle.

    Thanks BB.

    They're an option.

BTW - You're correct about the curvature of the insert being a slight problem with the flat sticker but it's very minor.

This is what I have done for the time being.

I just emailed your cutout to the graphics shop. See what they say.

She just emailed me right back and said the chrome is a problem for her to print and she asked if I had a black or another color of the image. She said she tried tracing the image and it looked bad.

Hey Boiler, I've been watching your vids. They are great. Give me a bit and I'll get you some emblem images that may work for the printer.

None of the pics anyone has sent me are good enough for the printer. They just keep coming up with new problems.

Decided to try to make something in AutoCAD myself. Need to increase the offset between the elements to make them more visibly separated but I might be onto something here. Maybe.

I might do a very small black on white for the center caps and maybe eventually a very large white one for the tailgate (after the paint job).

Looks good. I might add a couple more details, but not sure the look you are going for. I doesn't get more basic than b/w, hopefully the printer can handle that.

I incorporated your suggestion. Looks much nicer. Sent to the printer but no word yet.

Nice. I'm not sure how to go about it, but since you used Acad, you should look to find a way to export/convert your drawing to .SVG or .AI file. Your printing folks would be much happier with that type of file as it can be losslessly scaled to any size.

I only know how to export to .dxf, .dwf and .pdf. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip.
