We`ll be in the mountains again in October for our 11th annual Ranchero USA Roundup at the 49th Moonshine Festival, in Dawsonville, GA... Added the 12th Annual get together to this already active thread... http://www.kareforkids.org/mountain-moonshine-festival.html We gather at the school with the All Fords Carshow... Enjoy the scenery in the mountains, swapmeet the vendors, entertainment and some 2,000 cars... Y`all Come
The link provides a registration form for the 48th annual festival. Is there a link for the 2016 one so I can register my car does anyone know? I already booked my room at the Dawsonville Inn... I hope that place is okay.
Ranchero owners will generally register with the ALL FORDS Show Saturday and/or Sunday for a better chance at a trophy... The OPEN Carshow will have 800+ registered in that show, whereas the Fords are about 100+ in show... We members of Ranchero USA Roundup hangs out with the Fords at the school, up the hill, behind the Hall of Fame We always have our place in the Fords Show, Walt Simmons knows we`re in attendance each year... I ain`t distracting you from entering the Open Carshow, I am merely encouraging you to participate in with the Fords & Ranchero USA Roundup, soas to increase your chances for recognition and possibly, a trophy for your passenger seat... DC
DENNIS. I am going to Eckenrod Ford IN ALABAMA, this April I don't know if I am going to make it this year ,but it is early ,strange things can happen
April is a busy month for Ann & me... ABATE volunteerism two weekends and Honda Shadow club one, then there`s AA too... Busy keeps me outta trouble, D
I would love to do that but I cannot find information on registering for anything other than the open car show. Just looking for a little guidance to get me all set to hang with the other ford and specifically ranchero owners. The car is hardly trophy worthy except maybe distance. I plan to drive from Daytona Beach to attend.
No preregistration for All Fords Show, we will not set up until Saturday & Sunday mornings for registration... However, I like to let Walt know ahead of time about how many slots we`ll need... There is NO registration required for the Ranchero USA Roundup, just say you`re coming, we`ll save a parking spot for you... We have the best seats in the house picked out and do so each roundup, according to weather... Shade when needed, sunshine when needed, October weather is very unpredictable... I generally touch base with Walt mid September with an approximate headcount... Enjoy them mountains, D
Looks like I wont make it after all. I still have the car dismantled fixing the cowl vent rust. I cannot see it being done in time, especially since I still have to work the passenger side rear floorboards, passenger side toe board, and make the center console. Every place I looked I found rust that needed to be addressed. I think I have found it all, but there just isn't enough time for me to get it all fixed, everything reinstalled, and the car ready for the trip to Ga. Im disappointed. Perhaps next year ill be able to make it sporting a new paint job though.
hey DENNS I am not able to travel to the festival ,but next year will be here before we know it /ANDY
I just asked Ann to find the schedule whilst she was on the computer here.... http://www.fairsandfestivals.net/events/details/2016-mountain-moonshine-festival Yes we`re planning on being there again with the All Fords Show... We camp for the event, soas NOT to have "Traffic Jam Blues" ... Early morning commuting is best on Saturday & Sunday... I mean EARLY Morning too!!! Be onsite by 8 is suggested... How`s about it? Who is scheduling to attend this event??? http://www.fairsandfestivals.net/events/details/2016-mountain-moonshine-festival
Andy I was hoping you could do it again this year too... No promises, but Rusty MAY Be in attendance this year... I know the "Magic Bus" will be there, it`s our bedroom
Yea well I have to stop overdoing ,I can't handle another surgery,Take lots of pics, and if you tow Rusty with the bus that would count , just a thought
Many vehicles get hauled in to this event in Dawsonville, John... Rusty has only been towed to one roundup... Even with the ones she has missed, she still holds the record in attendance too... Y`all Come, Enjoy
None inferior here on Ranchero USA, we are equals... I enjoy meeting Ranchero USA Folks at these roundups... I like Y`all two, too, John & Sean... Hey that Rhymes, D
We had a bad run there, and I apologize. We all go waaaay back. Well, not all, but some. We know who we are.
