Welcome. I'd love to see pics of your project. I don't think we have anything that old on this forum.

car2.JPG Just got the Ole boy in garage. It has been partially restored. I am now looking for total exhaust and floor mats for starters. It does run .

Well, I WAS referring to vehicles. I expect we have several people on the group who probably remember celebrating their birthdays in '57! :D

Need to find a period-correct 4-barrel intake and carb, along with dual exhaust. When I was a baby, the family car was a '56 Country Sedan wagon with that engine, but a 4-barrel carb, making 202 HP factory. It sure looks nice so far.

I was born in '61, so I figure I have to have a car that came off the assembly line in '61 as well. But I was born in November, so while I'm a '61 model, I might end up with a '62, if it was actually "born" in November as well.

I didn't realize my car was as old as I am till yesterday . Like me it has rust , showing its age, needing lots of TLC but has lots of power left and is looking forward to the future... . Cool!!!

I looked it up and there were about 5,000 of these models Ranchero's made in 57' .
