    Welcome fellow roundbody owner.

Don't know where you are with the rims, but I have found that 14" 6-cylinder wheels from an early Mustang or other Ford, with P185/75R14 mounted on them will almost exactly match the diameter of the original 6.50-13 tires.

This will get your gas mileage and speedometer back where its supposed to be.

    Nice!!

Its also easier to find beauty rings for 14 inchers. I just got 2 1/4 inch wide whitewalls from DiamondBack. Paired with 1961 Galaxie center caps to match the mirror on the fender.

Hope to post some new pics soon.

Well the rims I got from DonC are 13".... woops!

Not his fault though, I should have read closer.
I have nothing but good things to say when dealing with him.
Great transaction, and would for sure do business with him again.

Anyway, I'll be picking up some new tires for the rims sometime in the next month or two. Which I'm totally fine with considering the ones I have now are total garbage!

Great progress with the car, I sure do like it low. Appreciate you taking the time to post those pictures, gives me an idea of how one looks lowered like that. I have 2" drop spindles on mine but no rearend it in now so had no idea how it might look. Keep up the good work.

Hey Don, what's the model for those tires you had on the rims before?

I really like the look of those.

    Quick update on this!

I purchased tires today, and we'll be getting them put on tuesday. Which means stock rims go on! YESSS

In the next week I'll be redoing the brakes, shocks, and all the engine/tranny mounts/gaskets. I'm also pulling my exhaust and redoing the gaskets, cleaning it all up and rehanging it.

Best of all Aug 23rd I start school for auto body! And you guessed it, atleast I hope you did, this is my project for the year! So over the next 6-7 months I'll be restoring the outside of the car. Full body work overhaul, New Paint, Tonneau cover, and over all cleaned up!

I'll be updating this more as I get things done!

With having the really dark black tires it makes the center pop out. Looking really good.

Love the poverty caps, so good
Class is legit, time spent on metal work triples the time spent on plastics and polymers
Yah It makes ALL the chrome pop out, it looks great, couldn't be happier
I for sure will, lots of ideas bumping around in my noodle
    thanks!
