Anyone else think that this would have been a one of Fords "Better Idea"
They should have made these too.
Go ahead and make a Boss 429 '69'!
Everything you need is readily available.
As long as you have a boat load of cash you never want to see again...
Nonsense! You could get at least 20 percent of your investment back if you sold it on eBay.
Yes, but this is a hobby and it should cost
I will have those P51 heads on the 557 build sometimes in the future
While it technicaly is supposed to be a 70, Ford did screw together one Boss9 Ranchero in 1969. It was an offshoot of Fords NASCAR program used while they were doing aero testing of the long noses for more down force. Ol' Dad snaked it up when Bill France shut down the Aero Wars between Ford and Chrysler. He drove it all over the Southeast delivering race parts to drivers back in the day. It'll be a future project, warehoused for now but not forgotten. As Is can testify, Dad is carefully restoring his old cars one by one and if he lives long enough he'll pull that rabbit out and let it growl just like the other cars do. He does do some nice work now, doesn't he Dennis ?

WOW, so there is a BOSS 429 !!!! This is great news. Please post a picture when you can. There are a lot of HP engine combos that i have wished were done. Like superchatged 312, HP 406 w/ 3x 2bbl, HP 289, 427 SOHC, tunnel port 302 & 427, medium and highriser 427, SCJ 428 & 429, BOSS 302 & 429. Ford created great engines, but its too bad that we weren't working there in the day, to convince old Henry II that Rancheros are performance cars
Different, but I like it.
That door and quarter panel look like '70 - '71 to me.
kind looks like the head lites from a 240 Z
Well, I agree with you on that one, kirksss, but it was Ford's design. Hillbilly, you & dad definetly have some great Ford toys. Pics PLEASE?
yep they sure do i would like to see more on it also,,, its a cool truck.
Pics first chance I get, it may be a while though. I'm more impressed by the work done on the upper bed rails and the sail panels on the roof. Reminds me of how a big fastback Galaxie XL looked in 69/70. Datsun stole that nose design by the way. Bookends =
He does do some nice work now, doesn't he Dennis ?
