Hi guys, Today I dug into my 73gt and took out the dash because I had a number of issues including a leaky heater core and a bad blower motor.

Once I got the dash out (very carefully), I found that at some point in her history there had been a fire in the very heart of the car. Much of the plastic was destroyed around the defrost vents and heater core. One of my vacuum actuators was completely melted. I cannot find the part number and don't want to take a chance with something that may not fit. The part on the diagram is called "BY-PASS AIR DOOR VACUUM ACTUATOR" which goes inside the heater core housing between the front case half and the back case half.

Can anyone please tell me what replacement I ought to get? I can't find a part number.

Here are the part numbers for all '73-'76 AC vacuum motors. The numbers 1, 2, etc... refer to the numbers in your picture.
I got mine a few years ago from eBay, worth a try.
