I am currently looking for a bench seat for my 1977 GT. Person I purchased from put bucket seats out of a cougar. I would like to install bench seat so I can take both my children with me for cruises around town.

The money isn't a huge issue I just need advice on where to look, what would fit, or even if someone has a link that I could just outright buy a new bench seat rather than finding an older one ill most likely have to redo the upholstery anyway.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any bench seat from a 73 thru 79 Ranchero should bolt in, I think.

The split bench seats include a center seat belt, using the same anchor points for bucket seats. You then have the advantage of the pivoting armrests when the center is not occupied.

Any bench, split bench from the 72-79 Torino, LTD II, TBird, Montego, Cougar, Mark IV and V will work. Must be 2 door so the seat folds. Power seat, manual seats are only different with the bolt-on seat tracks. The later Rancheros did not have headrests, some like them, personal choice, keeps their head from going through the back glass when hit in the back, trucks were exempt at the time for some crash requirements. remember to get the center seat belts. The nicest used seats are always the wrong color.
