    Needing to know what this piece is for? IMG_20181007_160722[1].jpg IMG_20181007_160647[1].jpg IMG_20181007_160722[1].jpg Have been told everything from oil filler to emissions part. It is on the exhaust manifold on the passenger side. The neck is attached to the exhaust manifold itself.

    Isn't that for the "heat riser" tube for the air cleaner, basically a sheet metal shroud mounted/attached to the exhaust manifold.

    Not sure but what ever it is it has a crack in it. I know this is a factory A/C car & the A/C compressor is gone.

    I agree with aquartlow- that's a heat riser tube to provide warmed air to the air cleaner/carburetor.

    ok thanks got that figured out now get it to were it is getting fire. Going to replace the ignition control module & spark plugs & ignition coil next see if that fixes the problem.
