Has anyone had luck repairing a cracked dash. Looks like it is just dried out from the sun. I had my seats redone and now all the trim looks really faded . I see some product on the internet, just not sure what will work best.

Can you post a pic of the area you want to repair?

May be able to repair cracks with ABS glue if cracks are small and vinyl is not sun baked and hard as old peoples toe nails.Paint dash and trim with SEM color coat/classic coat.May be hard to find color match requiring complete dash respray.Did this on my 73,green to black.Still looks good 10 years later.Other option is to have huevos recover dash pad, wont be disappointed.

My vote is Huevos to recover if he is willing - absolutely gorgeous work on the three he did for me. Totally perfect.

Another option would be to have your original redone...

Not cheap, but can make your old dash look like new. Waiting for mine (dash, arm rests, visors) to come back.

I had them do the A.C. panels under the instrument cluster - like you said, not cheap, but, they look KILLER.

I think for now I will just live with it. Just do not have the expertise to take it out and then have to spend that much money. Wife already upset about the mew bucket seats, I did take out the bench seat and made a few bucks on a parts car but not enough to pay for all of it.

If it helps... probably won't BUT!!! You can tell her you know a guy that.... I did a rotisserie restoration on mine. By the time I was done my budget exploded to more then 3 times what I originally thought. My wife survived it. ;):oops: Or is it I that survived it? :p
