Afternoon all,so I own a 2019 f250,approaching 80k,knew there was a voluntary recall on an issue with the front end steering damper,never had an issue till today,driving to work this morning and hit a bump,not for nothing but it was 4:15 in the morning and I was driving 80 miles per hour,no one around,my truck literally bounced across 2 lanes and I had absolutely no control over where it was gonna land,had there been another vehicle in my path not sure I’d be sending this message,it was unbelievable,called the dealership and he came right out and called it the death wobble,involving 2014-2019 f 250sWTF!they knew about this for 15 years and did nothing?theres a class action suit involving several deaths because of this,I have an appointment Monday morning to drop off to repair,free of charge but WTF??not gonna tell the wife,she’ll be a basket case,this will be the second time I should have been gone

Had the same problem on my 2013 F-250 and installed new offset control bushings. Gives more positive castor and takes away the death wobble. Greg
I’ve felt a shimmy at times going over expansion joints at freeway speeds in my 2019 F350 but nothing alarming. Death wobble has been a concern especially when towing a 10,000+ pound travel trailer but I haven’t done anything about it. Because of your experience, Saff54, tomorrow I’m contacting my Ford dealer and making an appointment to have the steering damper replaced no charge under the CSP that covers this. Thanks for the kick in the butt!
Havent experienced dreaded DW on my F250.Replaced the stock ranchero shocks with Bilsteins. Ride is firmer but stable.Give your tires a spin.Check air pressure.Verify they are round..
