All, If I understand things correctly, this was the 'standard' rear end for the Falcon sedans. Looking to improve highway performance (reduce RPM, increase mileage). Let's be honest, with a 144cid I6 (original, which I want to keep) I'm not going to tear up the road anyways, so it would be better to go a little easier on the engine... Well, I use this car as a daily driver, and I was concerned that replacing *just* the ring gear & pinion would actually take longer than the rear end swap (which I believe could easily be done in a day). That was the reasoning, anyways...
Thread is over 3 years old also a 72 and 61 are totally different animals it would be major work as well as denero to make a 72 rear end work in a 61
