Hi guy , have a 1965 ranchero Six cylinder truck missing its engine and transmission, but I do have an 351 1989 Windsor sat on the floor of my shop ., now over in England 289/302 any not that easy to pick up , should just stick in the Windsor ? Not going to be a daily driver or has anybody used a 4.0 ford intech in-line six Thanks guys
The 351 will be a tighter fit than a 289/302, it is taller by 1 inch and wider. But a lot more fun. Be aware the suspension from a six cylinder car is different from a v-8 suspension. For good info on that look at early mustang swaps has been covered lots of times. Go for it !
I did that on a 63 Falcon. Tops of the front shock towers cracked shortly thereafter. Might want to consider reinforcement. I was t-boned by a lady in a Cadillac. End of story. Now run a 351 in my 78.
