Figures it's in Florida when I no longer live there.
Wish more Rancheros would attend Carlisle Ford Nationals in June.
There has to be a bunch of owners on the North East but only a few Rancheros show up.
They have awards for 1st 2nd and 3rd and doubt they have given them all out every year in Ranchero category

 

Someday when I get time ill drive mine up to Carlisle just to win one of those sweet awards LOL It runs a little warm on the interstate now and until I get the AC condenser situated properly to prevent the warm engine temps I have to keep the trips fairly local.

In the meantime bring that banner Andy! I know we would all love to see "Rocky" regardless of how many parts are missing. It cannot possibly look worse than mine.

A FAMILY EVENT HELD IN THE INFIELD OF THE

DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

 

Hope you still have the banner Andy. I hope to have my hood painted by March, but we will see.

 

Dennis, both Andy and I live close enough to the track we each go home at the end of the day. I am always back on Sunday for the final day of the show so it wouldn't be a problem either coming here and hanging out Saturday night and hitting the show on Sunday, provided Andy will make the trip again. What do you say Andy? Drive over for Sunday too this year?

 

yea, if D is gonna ride down , I might just do the slow lap around the track to get the I Drove at Daytona Speedway

 

Oooh, I dislike bike week, but would meet you if you come down. Too many folks who have no business riding in the first place attend bike week. It gets crazy/stupid.

 

That's the biggest car show in the country?

 

That was early morning on the first day. The spring event is significantly smaller than the Thanksgiving event. Same vendors, less traffic. Plus because of the smaller crowd they open the track on Sunday for a "parade lap", which they cannot do in November.

Oh, and of course the mighty Ranchero's chased everyone off too.

 

I would argue that the Dream Cruise is the largest car show in the world.

 

The Cruise on Gratiot isn't as large but it is still impressive. I vote Dream Cruise is the winner.
