That's where my Ranchero grew up. Had a Cordell Ford, sticker on it, I believe. It also had 600 lbs of concrete and 100 mud dabber nests jammed up under the frame. Isn't Cordell the self proclaimed watermelon capital of the south? I recall the guy who hauled it to Michigan for me mentioned that.
The Roundup is on Halloween? No way can I get away this year, with little kids and all. I think you did that on purpose!
Yes, if you look at pics from the second roundup you`ll see we had a bunch of folks in town fer Andersonvilles` halloween festival... the local churches do a good job of providing goodies fer the young`uns of Andersonville... Fun and Games fer all ages.. PLUS the RancheroUSA roundup...

Ok to come down without the Chero? Hi, I'm a brand new owner of a 78...would love to come down, but not sure if I'll be road ready by then. Learning a ton from you all. Is it cool just to come down without the ride? Brian

HoneyChiled, believe it or not, you'd be hard pressed to find a dirt road over in our neck of the woods. Sarah, your mention of tearing up some dirt brought back memorys but nowdays those Dukes of Hazzard back country trails all have subdivisions or gated communitys on them and are paved nicely so the immigrant's Hummers and Range Rovers won't get dirty. Come on down anyway, that blacktop we got has a lot of bite in it and I'm sure you'll enjoy leaving your mark.
It's also hard to keep paint, or even bondo, on a cars fenders and quarters when you are constantly eroding it away on the dirt roads.
Yup been there done that tearing it up on dirt roads is like sandblasting your fenders inside and out....
Ya'll got that right. Every vehicle I brought back from Eastern Colorado and Kansas had the wheel well mouldings and the paint down low scoured off just like if they had been blasted. Even older cars that had the thick metal well trim were no match for those long dirt roads. You had to peck the fenders back into the original shape and get paint on them quick before the Southern humidity turned the metal into rust piles.
Is it cool just to come down without the ride??? Yes, by all means come and be a part of these gatherings , truck or not... I`m working on a flyer to send out to neighboring counties about the Cruise In... Rayell and HR, tell the folks you know too...

They give us the "Key to the Village", there Ain`t nothing else going on in town... Campsites available, plenty of rooms at hotels and the local Bed and Breakfast venues in the area... Another Andersonville GA ??? WOW I didn`t know!!! Yeah this one is in the "Heart Of Dixie"... The one with the National Cemetary/POW Museum, not a big town, maybe 300 folks alive here...The cemetary has more... I hope you can make it, Y`all Come...
